Finance Analyst

The role will be reporting into the Finance Director on site and key tasks will be:

 

  • Ensure sales invoicing cut off clean and timely
  • Run Access sales and intrastat reports
  • Review/approval of Cost of Sales and Stock reconciliations
  • Review accruals (in detail with specifics such as freight/electricity etc)
  • Approve interco recharges and transactions
  • Review/approval monthly P&L and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Review/approval Overhead recovery calculation
  • Repairs & renewals recovery tracker
  • Prepare and attend monthly management meeting with reviews of main cost variances for each department (Actual v plan/LY)
  • VAT review in detail in preparation for final submission
  • Regular payment run approvals and ad hoc advance payment requests
  • Leased assets liabilities tracking (IFRS 16 implementation)
  • Attend internal capex meetings and liaise with GSS as necessary
  • Coding capex invoices and review of assets under construction
  • Audit/Stats/Tax Prep (liaise with auditors/group/KPMG)
  • Interco recharge invoices – review/code
  • Import collections
  • Review/sign off true up calculations
  • Bank cheques received
  • Ad hoc site finance related issues as and when they arise

 

Some key ingredients to your success in this role are good engagement, communications and solid analytical and reporting skills, the ability to work in a collaborative environment and in matrix organizations. Experience in an FMCG environment and proficiency with Microsoft office/Oracle, as well as an Accountant Qualification (ACA, ACMA), would be welcomed.  This role is a 12 month cover position.
