Currently we are looking for exceptional Vat Specialist  to join our Global Shared Services in Łódź (Poland)

 

VAT Team located in Łódź is responsible for various tasks from two main areas: Tax Compliance and Tax Systems. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work within tax compliance area in creative and international environment. On a daily basis, you will be able to use your European VAT knowledge and language skills, especially English (both: oral and in writing). What is more you will be developing your knowledge in SAP, IVAT and Excel.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns and other reports (EC Sales Lists / Intrastate / Country specific reports) for VAT registrations in EU
  • Monthly/Quarterly reconciliation to the General Ledger for European entities
  • VAT End-to-End process coordination (quality review, report submission, payment, reconciliation)
  • Regular review and revision of procedures, implementation of improvements
  • Cooperation and dealing with a variety of questions including: Cross Border Transactions, Chain transactions
  • Conducting VAT Trainings for SSC to other teams
  • Participating and coordinating implementation efforts for departmental and cross-departmental projects and initiatives
  • Preparation of internal & external tax audit requests and responding to queries
  • Performing the selected monthly closing activities in line with corporate deadlines
  • Assisting with other day to day VAT compliance tasks 

     

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of VAT accounting and Tax reporting experience
  • University degree in Finance/Tax/Accounting
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of European VAT legislation
  • Fluent English and any other EU/non-EU language
  • Proven knowledge of SAP/other ERP systems
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Solution oriented and can-do attitute
  • Effective analytical and problem solving skills
  • Innovative and proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player, respectful, dedicated with positive and flexible attitude
