Currently we are looking for exceptional Risk and Controls Lead to join our Global Shared Services in Łódź (Poland)

 

With the deployment of a global SAP platform, we have designed a framework of internal controls covering a majority of the operating processes for the Group. Now that this framework is being moved into “Business as Usual”, there is a need to complete the process of embedding our Risk and Controls Matrix (RCM) within the organization to ensure that it is fit for purpose and aligned to Tate & Lyle global processes and ways of working and to subsequently establish and administer a process of continuous monitoring and critically review proposed changes to the framework.

 

The successful candidate will join Risk and Controls Team. In delivering these outcomes, this role plays a critical part towards establishing an effective control environment and monitoring of controls process across our global business.

 

 What you will be doing:

  • Join Risk and Controls Team created to establishing an effective control environment and monitoring of controls process across our global business
  • Closely cooperate with and support the Group Controls and Business Roles Manager
  • Support or lead various projects and initiatives in order to strengthen control framework in the organization including:

Risk and Controls Matrix stabilization and  roll out to new regions

Segregation of duties assessment support

Continuous improvement of controls framework in the organization and enhancements to continuous monitoring process

Support/ participation in projects with possible impact on control framework (e.g. SAP implementation, SAP enhancements)

  • Work to optimize and simplify the RCM where possible
  • Work to design new robust controls where any gaps are identified
  • Manage a team.

 

What have you done so far:

  • Experience of internal controls area in a complex global manufacturing organization
  • Experience of testing the design of internal control frameworks
  • Experience of testing internal controls compliance.
  • Experience of designing remediation plans to address control breaches / weaknesses
  • Segregation of Duties experience
  • Prior SAP systems audit and/or assurance experience will be an adventage

 

Skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science or equivalent degree
  • Accounting and finance background is an advantage
  • Experience in reviewing or designing / implementing a framework of internal controls in a complex global manufacturing organization is a must
  • Experience in designing testing and monitoring plans for internal control framework
  • Experience in Segregation of Duties area
  • Ability to assess business risks and recommend / enforce appropriate controls
  • Strong systems knowledge (SAP an advantage) and experience / knowledge of system audits is an advantage
  • Ability to travel  (up to 25% of time)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Fluent English (both – speaking and in writing)
  • Big 4 / Internal audit experience is an advantage
