Currently we are looking for exceptional Finance Commercial Analyst (EMEA region) to join our Global Shared Services in Łódź (Poland).

 

 

The Finance Commercial Analyst (EMEA) will be driving top line income performance through decision support to the Category Directors and their reports. Understanding drivers of growth in FBS and supporting the Senior Commercial Business Partner / FD in delivery of their responsibilities.

 

  • Support the commercial functions in delivery of FBS growth aspirations and annual business plans
  • Constructive challenge to the senior commercial leadership and their reports to support Gross Profit delivery of the business
  • Identify opportunities for incremental growth and build action plans to deliver alongside the commercial teams
  • Support key reporting processes being point of contact on gross profit drivers and variances

 

Driving Financial Performance

 

  • Interrogating the results of the business, liaise with key stakeholders to ensure that both commercial stakeholders (regional and global) understand drivers of results, key trends and variances.
  • Drive insightful and value add reporting provoking detailed review of monthly performance with commercial leaders supporting the Senior Commercial Business partner is their role
  • Identify and recommend corrective actions or value accretive opportunities, robustly challenge commercial plans and assumptions
  • Leverage MI and draw on knowledge to deliver solutions to commercial leaders

 

Forecasting and Budgets

 

  • Ensure the assumptions whether directly managed (ie  financial assumptions such as pricing/costing)  or influenced (eg  commercial assumptions such as volumes),  used in S&OP forecasting are robust & achievable.
  • Interrogate the results of the monthly S&OP cycle to ensure forecasts are robust, complete and achievable. Activities undertaken to ensure this will include run rate analysis, contract compliance & erosion and forecast bias and impact analysis of ‘live’ actions.
  • Identify gaps to target and support development of robust and achievable recovery plans in place.
  • Ensure financial forecasts appropriately reflect the outcome of the S&OP plan, pipeline and current initiatives (including pricing trends)

 

 

Annual contracting

 

  • Support sales and product management when annual volume and pricing targets are set ahead of the annual contracting round. Activities will include:
  • Ensure commercial organisation understand the cost drivers and headwinds, especially NRM, ahead of price setting
  • Ensure the targets set are realistic
  • Partner the business to ensure the targets set are congruent with the strategic plan – with volume and profit targets be delivered? Are the regional and product line strategies being executed? Will be investment case supporting any recent expansion plans be achieved?
  • Provide ‘real-time’ impact analysis on contracting results to date and ensure any issues quickly identified, resolved and consequences quantified.
  • Ensure the results of contracting are appropriately reflected in the regional and product line AOP to ensure stakeholders take ownership and accountability for ‘90% confidence level plans’

 

Project specific support

 

  • Provide insightful and meaningful finance support on specific commercial initiatives including:
  • Support building of strategic plans for key customers including regional GEAs. This will include not only building the financials but supporting and challenging commercial team on underlying assumptions
  • Tenders/Quotes – focussed on larger, more strategic files support preparation and execution of tenders and quotes
  • Provide senior team with support on strategic customer relationship building – this could involve visiting customers, preparing responses to customers
  • Finance support on execution of Project Nike in EMEA
  • What if and margin analysis
  • Support development of 5 year strategic financial plans

 

Other

  • Build strong working relationships with the FBS EMEA commercial leaders and their teams in order to ensure the business units business plans are delivered and longer term growth aspirations are within reach
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, and drive through change in order to reduce inefficiencies within the business
  • Deputise for the Senior Commercial Business Partner as appropriate
  • Improve analytical tools to provide better driver/variance/trend analysis at customer, product and transaction levels
  • Support adoption of Prime and development of insightful reporting

 

Skills and Experience Required

 

Essential

  • Previous experience of analyzing the performance and understanding the driver of profitability in a large corporate
  • Previous experience of working with imperfect systems and data
  • Previous experience of business partnering with senior management and non-finance individuals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Chartered Accountant (or similar relevant professional qualification)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Logical with strong analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Works well both independently and part of a team
  • A thirst for knowledge and natural curiosity
