This is a new role, in a new team being set up in Tate & Lyle Finance. The purpose of the Finance Technology Optimisation team is to give finance the capability and capacity to drive commercial benefits from investments in finance technology. The purpose of this role is to work between the business and ISIT to deliver enhancements which help get the business to want to use our tools.



  • Becoming a PRIME and SAP expert business user,
  • Identifying, investigating and implementing solutions to problems to enable the PRIME finance platform to provide reporting and analytics to support management decision making,
  • Maintain a relationship between ISIT and Finance to ensure that business needs are understood by ISIT,
  • Creating analytical models and reports to support decision making using PowerBI and other analytics tools,
  • Provide BAU support for PRIME and associated reporting by developing training materials and running training sessions.



  • Working knowledge of the technical capabilities of PRIME and SAP required to ensure inputs to reporting are fully understood,
  • Knowledge of how to build analytical models, carry out data preparation, test for statistical significance, refine and improve model efficiency and effectiveness,
  • Ideally, knowledge of DAX and Python languages,
  • Experience of using analytics to support business decision making, 
  • Understanding of financial data flows (debits/credits to and from the P&L/balance sheet),
  • Soft skills to enable clear communication with both Finance and ISIT.
