We are seeking a maintenance planner to work collaboratively within our highly talented and innovative teams. The ideal candidate thrives in an agile environment and has a passion for delivering world-class solutions.

 

The maintenance planner contributes to a high level of productivity and efficiency within the maintenance department by providing written job plans for work originating from requests, preventative plans, and predictive monitoring which include details such as proper procedures, manpower, time, parts, tools, access, and permitting required.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, promote safe work practices, and foster a strong safety culture
  • Create maintenance job plans for assigned plant areas including all details needed to schedule and execute work - procedures, manpower, time, parts, tools, access, permitting, etc.
  • Partner with maintenance and operations personnel for assigned areas to prioritize and manage the "ready" work backlog
  • Incorporate feedback on completed planned jobs from maintenance coordinators, reliability team, mechanics, store room, operations, and contractor crafts to create a continuous improvement loop for job plans and planning procedures
  • Build and maintain database of job plans
  • Provide daily communications with a wide range of plant personnel, including clarifying job scope and requirements as needed
  • Coordinate necessary training for mechanics
  • Work in and maintain the SAP maintenance work order system and equipment information, BOMs, and specifications

 

Required skills, experience, and traits:

  • 10 years industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience using CMMS for maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
  • Must be self-motivated, diligent, detail-oriented, with strong time management discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, P&IDs, assembly drawings, and machine manuals
  • Strong writing skills; must be able to communicate instructions and procedures clearly to skilled crafts
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to accept and act upon feedback from others
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Outlook e-mail
     

Desired skills:

  • Prior maintenance planning experience
  • Familiarity with SAP maintenance database
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
