Process Operator/ Technician

Process Operator/Technician - We are looking for exceptional candidates for our Process Operator positions at our Houlton, Maine manufacturing facility.


Position Summary: 

Process Operators in our Houlton Maine Plant are responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a manufacturing process that produces distinctive, high quality ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage, and other industries.


We use innovative technology to turn raw materials into distinctive, high quality ingredients for our customers. These ingredients add taste, texture, nutrition and increased functionality to products that millions of people around the world use or consume every day.


Starting compensation is  @ $ 19.27 per hour / increasing to $21.30 per hour after successful completion of 90 day probationary period.

Capability to diagnose, operate, correct, and manage the outcomes of complex processing systems (mechanical and chemical)


Ability to learn new concepts and information using process procedures, manuals and diagrams


Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information, both written and verbal


Ability to use Microsoft Office products 


Ability to teach both technology concepts and operating procedures to other technicians


Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.


Must be able to work shift work, including weekends. Prior work in food manufacturing setting is preferred. A background in chemistry is a plus.



Must hold a valid Class C Driver’s License.


Background checks and drug/alcohol screenings will be conducted.       


 Education & Work Experience:

Associates degree or higher preferred with minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent

Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.

Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem solving skills
