Role Purpose

 

To lead the overall Group capital asset management program

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

•Ensure the T&L capital management processes are in being utilized effectively and efficiently
•Assist in preparing and maintaining a forward-looking five year plan for Group capital planning and assist in the capital allocation process across Divisions
•Assisting in management of annual capital spend and global capital spending forecasts.
•Support the delivery of capital projects, on time and within budget, in accordance with Group capital asset management procedures
•Lead a continuous improvement program to improve project management skills in the Group
•Assist in developing capital cost models for process and network optimization
•Ensure consistent approach in which capital projects are managed and benchmarked
•Assess Capex investments, providing objective technical challenge
•Point of contact between Global Operation Capital Projects and Group Finance.  Shares ownership of Capital Approval Committee presentations/papers with group finance.
 
Skills and Knowledge
 
•Demonstrated understanding of key capital project metrics
•Capable of influencing and motivating an international culturally diverse group without being directly in charge
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
•Attention to detail of very important
•Capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships across the Group
•A teacher, team builder, team player and individual contributor as required
•High energy and self-motivated
•Engineering degree with experience in capital project work
•Technical undergraduate degree
•MBA / or Technical graduate degree preferred
•Minimum of 5-10 years experience within the chemical or food industry
•Large (>$5m) Capital Project experience preferred
•Manufacturing experience preferred
•Large – mid-cap company experience
