Purpose of the Job:

Work with the global team in conjunction with our local internal business partners to prioritize the pipeline of spend areas to address. For the prioritized spend areas, jointly identify the opportunity and sourcing strategy to capture that opportunity. The sourcing strategy will be based on overall supply market dynamics and rigorous TCO analytics. You will be responsible for executing sourcing events using processes which include: stage gates, spend analysis, requirements planning, risk management, market analysis, strategy development, competitive bidding events, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, contracting, supplier management, cost savings methodology, performance reporting, and proficiency with sourcing tools. You will be responsible for facilitating an on-going supplier relationship management process with the key logistics and transportation service providers to include but limited to rail, truck, ocean, air and warehousing.



This position is responsible for supporting North American Logistics Procurement activities, including synthesizing and reporting findings from freight data, carrier contracted rates and carrier performance, which will play a critical role in creating an optimized global logistics strategy.

  • Sourcing Execution

Work with business stakeholders to drive procurement activity, manage sourcing activity through Zycus where appropriate; Confer with logistics stakeholders to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost; maintain logistics sourcing documentation in accordance with corporate policies in consultation with Regional Category Manager/Global Category Director.


  • Contract Negotiation

Maintain contract templates; negotiate contracts with support from legal; negotiate scope, contract terms and commercial terms with suppliers resulting from sourcing processes in discussion with Regional Category Manager/Global Category Director.

  • Contract Management/ Supplier Management: Maintain contracts in contract data base; Ensure that key/strategic suppliers have the appropriate KPI's reported. Analyze data to ensure suppliers are performing per contract, monitor KPIs.
  • Logistics Sourcing Data Collection/Management: Collect, Analyze logistics data, Conduct data mining and trend analysis of the freight data, Work directly with representatives from vendors to ensure accuracy of data and to troubleshoot data discrepancies, Manage data quality, data cleansing, standardization, and verification processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field;
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in supply chain, procurement, transportation or logistics management services in an analytical capacity.

  • Demonstrated ability working with large data sets with Excel, Access etc.
